Going back as far as I can remember, I've always been an artist.
Alwena Ellis was a very talented landscape painter. She was also my grandmother, and I'd have to guess that's where I was first exposed to art. Her paintings were displayed throughout her home, and throughout the homes of her family and friends. She's been gone many years, but each day her paintings, some of which now hang in my home, continue to amaze and inspire me. This is a fall landscape she painted in 1959.
